Affiliate Disclosure
Plainly, and before anything else: Galway Ireland Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you.
What that means in practice
The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.
What we are not
We are not a tour operator, a ferry company, a coach company or a visitor attraction. We do not run any of these coaches, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.
We have no connection with the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, Kylemore Abbey, the Aillwee Burren Experience, Doolin Ferry, Galway City Museum, Galway Cathedral or Galway City Council.
How tours get listed
Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. The badges are arithmetic: the best seller is the one with the most reviews, the best value is the lowest fare on the site, and the top-rated one carries a 5.0 rating. Where one operator sells a similar day on both platforms, both listings appear, because both are separately bookable.
The three featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different kinds of day in three different directions, chosen so that the first thing you see is a choice rather than a repetition.
Prices, ratings and how current they are
Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were read from their own listings on 12 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Everything is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing here is converted at an exchange rate. Every fare on this site is per person.
Where we state a fact about a fee, an opening time or the city, it comes from the body that sets it: the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience for its ticket and hours, Doolin Ferry for the crossings, Galway Cathedral and Galway City Museum for theirs, Galway Civic Trust for the Hall of the Red Earl, and Met Éireann for the climate figures.
What we deliberately do not publish
- An admission price for Kylemore Abbey. Its website refuses every request from our systems, so no figure could be read from the source that sets it.
- An admission price for the Aillwee Burren Experience. Its website was returning a server error when these pages were written.
- Doolin ferry fares. Not published on the operator's readable pages, and not needed: every island tour here has the crossing inside its fare.
- A train or coach journey time from Dublin. Neither operator publishes one on a page we could read, so the routes and calling points are given instead.
- Climate figures for Galway itself. Met Éireann publishes no thirty-year average for a Galway station; the weather page uses Shannon Airport's and says so on the page.
